Bollocks

In an hour I’m doing my next exam. I’m not quite sure how it’ll work out, but it might be not so good. The day before yesterday I was riding home by bike when suddenly a car stopped before me. The street was deserted, there were at least five people in the car. I had earphones on so it was quite late I realized it had something to do with me. I stop and this one guy comes to me saying stuff like I had offended him or something. I just didn’t get what was going on, saying “I didn’t say anything, I didn’t say a thing..”. Then this other guy comes towards me and give me a kick, I fall off my bike and smack my head against a building. So I’m left with a black eye (not sure how that exactly happened), and a big headache. I only have a vague image of two persons, don’t know the license plate or what type of car it was… they drove off, I went home. Nothing like this ever happened to me. I never would’ve expected something like this to happen in Ghent, of all places.

So yesterday I was trying to study but I just couldn’t concentrate, I think I had a light concussion. My motivation already had a bit of a dip and this was not helping in any way. So now the exam is coming up, I didn’t study the complete course, I didn’t review thoroughly… I don’t know. I’m going to do the exam and see what gives. If I have to do it again at least I’ll know better what to expect next time. Bollocks!

For those of you interested, this happened on Wednesday night the 14th of June, around one past midnight. I was coming from the ring through the ‘Kunstlaan’ and turned into the ‘Katteberg’, they were coming from the direction of the ‘Overpoort’ through the ‘Kunstlaan’ and turned into the ‘Katteberg’ around the same time I did. The incident happened about 50 meters into ‘Katteberg’. The first guy that got out was wearing a grey training suit I believe, and had long hair. He was definitely native Flemish. The guy that hit me had an accent so I think he’s not of Flemish origin. They were highly aggressive, possibly on drugs. If any of this rings a bell, let me know.

update : The exam wasn’t too hard, meaning it went better than I expected.
